Privacy Policy

What this policy covers
LogPal AI is a mobile app and website that turns meetings and voice notes into transcripts, summaries, action lists and reports. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have.
We operate under Nigerian law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. We also build to the standard of the European GDPR for people who use LogPal AI from Europe.
What we collect
Account details: your name, email address, phone number, country, occupation and any profile links you choose to add.
Your content: the meeting audio you record, the voice notes and documents you share into the app, the transcripts and summaries we generate from them, and the projects, tasks, side notes and reports you create.
Calendar data, only if you connect Google Calendar: event titles, times and meeting links.
Usage and device data: how you use the app, crash reports, and a push notification identifier so we can send you reminders.
Payment status: when you subscribe, Apple or Google processes the payment and tells us which plan you are on. We never see your card number.
Website data: the details you enter in our newsletter and contact forms.
How we use your information
We use it to run the service: to record and process your meetings, to produce transcripts, summaries and reports, to apply your plan limits, and to send the reminders, reports and account emails you ask for.
We also use it to keep the service secure, to find and fix errors, to understand which features people use, and to meet our legal duties.
Audio and how long we keep things
Raw audio is deleted from our active storage shortly after transcription finishes. We keep the transcript, the summary and the structured output.
We keep your projects, sessions, tasks, notes and reports until you delete them or ask us to close your account.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run LogPal AI, and only for that purpose.
These providers are Supabase (database and sign in), Cloudflare (temporary audio storage), OpenAI (transcription), Google (summaries, translation and Calendar), Recall.ai (the notetaker that joins online meetings), RevenueCat with Apple and Google (subscriptions), Resend (email), OneSignal (push notifications), PostHog and Sentry (usage and error monitoring) and Vercel (website hosting).
Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria. When they do, we rely on their contractual commitments to protect it.
Recording other people
You are responsible for telling people you record and getting their consent where the law requires it. Our online notetaker joins calls visibly under the name LogPal AI Notetaker. Read our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy for the full rules.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it or move it to another service. You can also withdraw consent you gave us and object to certain uses.
To use any of these rights, including deleting your account and its data, contact us through the contact page on this website. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or to the data protection authority where you live.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and row level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, so we also limit what we keep.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email. Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact page.
